PictureMinister of Education Pierre Moreau, Huffington Post
In January, Literacy Quebec composed an open letter to Quebec’s Minister of Education inviting the minister to reassess and clarify recent policy speculations that could hamper the efforts to combat literacy.

The letter, written in cooperation with the Regroupement des groupes populaires en alphabétisation du Québec (RGPAQ), calls for the minister to explain his actual intentions and consider a cohesive vision and strategy to galvanise the government to invest more in the efforts of our community.

We are pleased to see that our letter has gained some traction as several provincial and national press outlets have picked-up our letter to bring this issue to light.

We wish the best for the new Minister of Education, Pierre Moreau, and on behalf of all literacy organisations throughout Quebec, we hope for a quick recovery for Mr. Moreau. We look forward to working in cooperation with Mr. Moreau as he returns to work. Read more about new cabinet appointments
